Vipassana, also known as Insight Meditation is a simple and direct practice based on moment-to-moment awareness, a technique that trains the mind to open to the present with goodwill, compassion, joy, and equanimity. The Buddha taught this practice 2600 years ago as a central tool for the spiritual path and encouraged practitioners to “look and see for yourself.”

The Buddha is revered as an awakened being because he understood the universality of the human condition and the potential for all humans to become enlightened.
